The MVWD Board of Directors will hold a public hearing and consider adoption of new water rates at a special Board Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on November 20, 2019. If adopted, the new rates will go into effect for meter readings after January 1, 2020.
A public hearing notice was mailed to all identified property owners and water rate payers. This notice explains the reasons for the rate adjustment, the basis on which the proposed rates are calculated, proposed changes to the District's existing budget-based tiered rate structure for single-family residential customers, dedicated irrigation meter customers and demand reduction rates, a schedule for implementation of proposed rates, and the process for adopting new water rates under California state law.
