New water rates will go into effect January 1, 2022. This increase is part of a multi-year water rate schedule that was formally adopted by the Board of Directors on November 20, 2019 following a public hearing.
The new rates include changes to the existing budget-based tiered rate structure for single-family residential customers and irrigation meter customers; "pass through" charges for unforeseen increases in wholesale water rates/charges; and demand reduction rates. The increased rates ensure the District will continue to fund operational and facility replacement needs.
