The Engineering, Operations, and Maintenance Division has the overall responsibility for the District's water distribution system, including the operation, maintenance and construction of capital potable and recycled water projects.
The Engineering department is responsible for planning, designing, constructing and inspecting all new capital and private developmentpotable water and recycled water projects, including major repairs and rehabilitation of all existing facilities as needed. The department also manages the District's Geographical Information Systems (GIS) Network.
The Maintenance department's responsibilities include the maintenance, repair, and service of the District's mains, service lines, storage facilities, fire hydrants and related facilities. This department manages the maintenance of 198 miles of pipeline throughout the District's water distribution system. Crews perform maintenance procedures to ensure optimal water flow and pressure for domestic customers as well as for fire suppression.
