Selection Process

All interested candidates are invited to apply for open positions. Please ensure that you have read and understand the essential requirements for any open positions. MVWD will only accept applications when an open recruitment for a position exists. The following process may also occur:

  1. Candidates must complete a MVWD application either in person, by fax, mail, or electronically.
  2. Once the recruitment period is closed, all applications will be reviewed and screened for position requirements. The applications most closely matching the needs of the District will be included in the selection process. The selection process may include, but is not limited to, written/practical testing, oral interviews, and background and reference checks.
  3. An oral interview consists of a panel board comprised of 2 to 3 members.
  4. All applicants will receive a status letter by mail, telephone or electronically.
