The Chino Basin Water Conservation District (CBWCD) is a public agency, based in Montclair, whose goal is the protection of the Chino Groundwater Basin in order to guarantee that current and future water needs will be met. The Inland Empire Utilities Agency (IEUA) is a regional agency that supplies imported and recycled water; collects, treats, and disposes of wastewater and provides other utility-related (renewable electrical energy, compost) services to the communities it serves. IEUA, a member agency of Metropolitan Water District of Southern California, manages a regional conservation program which provides residential and commercial rebates, targeted incentives, and education programs (National Theater for Children, Garden In Every School) for Monte Vista Water District customers.
The Water Education Water Awareness Committee (WEWAC) is a consortium of 13 water agencies in west San Bernardino County and east Los Angeles County whose mission is to promote the efficient use of water and to increase public awareness of the importance of water in Southern California. WEWAC programs include EduGrants, Project WET (Water Education for Teachers) Workshops, a Public Service Announcement Video Contest, a drought-tolerant demonstration garden at the Los Angeles County Fair, message board announcements at Rancho Cucamonga Quakes games, and an interactive website promoting wise water use. Monte Vista Water District is a charter member of WEWAC.
